I went for a week long trip a couple of years ago and now want to buy a used snowboard with bindings because they will pay for themselves in a few trips to a mountain. The following are Lamar Dante, Palmer, K2, or Burton. I understand Burtons are the best but I would prefer to get a cheaper one. Below are links to the items.

I also want to spend about $120 the most for a used board+bindings. And then I will buy a new pair of boots.

Ok, well first of all, Burtons are not the best boards. They are just the most well known. I am at work, so the sites above are blocked on my computer, but I would recomend going with K2 if it is a pretty recent board. Some other brands you should look at are Rome, Lib Tech, Signal, Stepchild, DC, GNU, Forum, Bataleon, etc.
rent for your first year -go to the local board shop & have them outfit you with gear. by your 2nd year, you can buy used equipment at the local ski & board swap.
There are no “beginner boards”. Its more of your preference. My thoughts on brands are if its over 100$ its a quality board no matter what brand. You want to buy your board by the type of boarding you do. A normal board for going down a slope if a stiffer one but if you terrain i would get one with more flex.
i would not buy anything off ebay because you have no idea what your buying and you could end up getting screwed
if you’re looking to spend 120 rent a setup for a season, its around 100-120 and you get the boots, bindings, and board and that way you can get the right size board for you and you can look at it to make sure its in decent condition
Local board shops rent set ups for the season and they usually have used stuff that you can buy as well. Buying used is ok as long as you see it first so you know the condition of it
brands like lamar,ltd,sims,morrow,5150 are low end beginner boards. They’re ok to use while your learning or if you want something cheap until you know your gonna stick with the sport but as you progress through snowboarding and start to get good you want to look at brands like:
Lib Tech
GNU
Rome
Never Summer
k2
Ride
Capita
DC
Nitro
Forum
