what are the best all mountain snowboards for beginners?

im between a 155 and a 160cm for the size of the board.
I have been snowboarding a few times, the reason i classify my self as a beginner is because i know the basics and dont quite consider my self an intermediate.

For beginners, I would highly recommend getting a second hand board off craigslist or a swap meet for a fairly cheap price. After a season or two when you know you like the sport and you want to get a better board, Lib Tech and K2 have alot of great boards for riding all mountain.

if you are a beginner, the board doesn’t really matter. Many beginners just suck and instead of practicing more they blame the equipment. As long as the length of the board is between your chin and nose in height, any board (that isn’t really chipped/cracked our gouged out) will be sufficient.

I would recommend CraigsList or some local sports stores have trade in sales in the spring and fall – people turn in their old equipment in exchange for discounts on new gear, and the store turns around and re-sells the used stuff too.

In my experience boots are way more important than the board if you are just learning. I would spend high dollar on new boots.
