Just go into it knowing your going to fall a lot. If your going with friends who know what they're doing keep in mind that they're not going to stay on the green hills with you all day. Good luck. If you are a natural at extreme sports you will get the hang of it immediately, usually your first time down. Don't be afraid. If you are afraid you shouldn't be up there. My advice is start saving up because snowboard lift tickets are $50 in Wa. state. now they were $33 last years...and Gas and clothes,goggles,food, it all adds up real quick.
